DI Promo Book

Project Overview

The brief was simple: design and build a book, encased by a sleeve/package of sorts, that promoted an design agency of choice that inspires you. I chose Dimensional Innovations (DI), a design agency based in Kansas City, MO. This project was solely inspired by my interest in their work and is in no way sponsored or directly affiliated with the company.

Who is DI?

Headquartered in a Design + Build + Tech space, DI is a single interdisciplinary team of industrial designers, brand strategists, graphic designers, architects, interior designers, content creators, engineers, fabricators, general contractors, technologists, and project managers. Because of such, they have a unique ability to design fascinating, robust experiences and move from concept to completion with one team.

Why DI?

While studying Industrial Design at KU, I went on field trips to learn and make connections with industry leaders in the community and was thus introduced to DI. The field trip to DI was the first time I felt a calling to design for delightful experiences.

The Book

DI delivers more architectural experiences — think stadiums, locker rooms, business lobbies — so I wanted to produce a product that felt crafty and involved with layers and texture. The book is creatively centered around reveals, from the initial slide-out of the book itself to the layered panels that introduce each chapter/section. Ultimately, the book tells the story of DI’s company and brand — I reached out to employees of the company to conduct research and access deeper insight on their history and brand guidelines.
